Fortuna Sittard

Always wanted to visit an Eredivisie match? At Fortuna Sittard you have this opportunity. The oldest paid football club in the Netherlands is only five kilometers away from our hotel. Fortuna Sittard was created after a merger between RKSV Sittardia and Fortuna'54 and has been playing football under the name Fortuna Sittard since 1968. The club has a rich history and managed to seize the KNVB Cup twice. After a number of deep declines, the club was able to promote itself to the Eredivisie again in 2018 after sixteen seasons. The club is now active at the highest level in the Netherlands for the sixth year in a row. Program Fortuna Sittard plays its home games in the Fortuna Sittard Stadium, which can accommodate 12,500 visitors.
