Evelien Luiten
Vocal and Piano teacher
During the Music Theatre course at the Codarts Conservatorium, Evelien specialized in both acting and singing. In addition, she took a minor in music education to further specialize in teaching. Teaching is her great passion, so after graduating as a performing musical artist, she actually only started teaching more. During her work for MijnMuziekles in Eindhoven, she discovered that she also really enjoyed giving piano lessons to beginners. For this, she took various piano lessons herself with: Arthur Postma, Tom Mordang, and Nick van der Schoot.
Since then, Evelien has taught at various places as a singing teacher, piano teacher, director, and/or drama teacher: Kunstkwartier, Me on Stage, MijnMuziekles, Pitboel Artschool, and ECI cultuurfabriek. Currently, she works at Jong Laagland and TOPVeldhoven as a theatre maker and at ToekanTalent as a singing teacher. She also regularly sings with a small band.
Evelien thinks it is important that there is a pleasant atmosphere during her lessons so that everyone has the space to develop optimally. Not only the result but also the process towards it is very important!
Merle Corsius
Vocal Teacher
Started with Evelien thirteen years ago, Merle is now almost a graduate musician at Vista College where she follows the vocal track. After her internship at ToekanTalent, she started giving singing lessons herself. Besides the passion for singing, Merle has also been involved in theater and musicals for many years. She knows everything about performance!
In addition to her work as a vocal coach, Merle is active as a singer in various bands, and she works as a backing vocalist and session musician for different artists.
The most important thing about teaching for Merle is fun and a pleasant atmosphere. Making music is good for everyone, regardless of who you are. With her lessons, Merle wants not only to improve technique but to ensure that singing comes naturally. There's nothing better than making music together!
